BARRISTER HAUWA ABUBAKAR IDENTIFIES AND SUPPORTS FLOOD-AFFECTED PWDS IN BORNO

Yesterday, Barrister Hauwa Abubakar, Attorney General and Commissioner of the Justice of Borno State, through her Green Dark Leaves Initiative, identified People With Disabilities (PWDs) affected by the recent floods and reached out with vital support. In collaboration with the Peace Ambassador Center for Humanitarian Aid and Empowerment, and with the support of the Borno State Ministry of Information and Internal Security, Barrister Abubakar provided much-needed food and non-food items to alleviate the hardships faced by PWDs due to the flooding. The event took place at the Peace Ambassador Center for Humanitarian Aid and Empowerment Office.
The Ministry of Information and Internal Security was represented by Permanent Secretary Alhaji Modu Mustapha and Director of Administration Babagana Mustapha, who attended the event to reinforce the state's commitment to supporting affected communities.

Barrister Abubakar's Green Dark Leaves Initiative has consistently been involved in climate action, including tree planting and environmental awareness campaigns. This humanitarian outreach reflects her dedication to social responsibility, ensuring that vulnerable groups in Borno State receive essential aid during difficult times.

The event was also attended by Amb Ahmed Shehu, founder and president of the Peace Ambassador Center for Humanitarian Aid and Empowerment, along with Amb Usman Aliyu, Director-General of the Borno State Agency for the Great Green Wall, and young peace advocates who played key roles in the distribution process.

This initiative underscores the power of collaboration between state bodies and humanitarian organizations in addressing the critical needs of affected communities across Borno State.
