BORNO COMMISSINER OF FINANCE FOLLOW GOV ZULUMS FOOT STEP DISBURSED RAMADAN PACKAGE TO CONSITUENTS


Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the esteemed Commissioner of Finance for Borno State, has embarked on a benevolent mission by distributing Ramadan packages to the eleven wards within the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC). This initiative aims to provide essential support to communities during the holy month of Ramadan.
The distribution ceremony, held with solemnity and gratitude, saw the allocation of packages to various community leaders, including ward chairmen, ward executives, state executives, district heads, ward heads, and Bulamas of MMC. Each recipient received tokens of appreciation and financial assistance as a gesture of solidarity and compassion during this sacred time.
In a generous display of commitment to community welfare, Commissioner Ahmed allocated 100,000 naira to each district head, 50,000 naira to ward heads, and 25,000 naira to ward executives, amounting to a total sum of approximately 30 million naira. This substantial contribution underscores the Commissioner's dedication to supporting the livelihoods of those within his jurisdiction.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mohammed Abdu Kalama from Bolori ward extended sincere appreciation to Commissioner Ahmed for his kindness and generosity. The impactful gesture serves as a beacon of hope and solidarity for the community members, reaffirming their faith in compassionate leadership.

Commissioner Ahmed, represented by Umar Lawan Dalorima and accompanied by Hon. Mustapha Bukar Daima, former Chairman of Benishek, took the opportunity to extend gratitude to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, GCON, CON, FNSE, Mni, for his unwavering support and exemplary leadership qualities. He attributed the success of the distribution initiative to Governor Zulum's guidance and inspiration, emphasizing their collective commitment to uplifting the lives of Borno State residents.

4,704 CONSTITUENTS RECEIVED SEN MT MONGUNO'S FOOD PALLIATIVES


In line with Governor Zullum's palliative distribution exercise to alleviate the hardships of the citizenry, the Senator representing Borno North senatorial district, and chairman senate committee on judiciary, human rights, and legal matters, Dist. Sen. Barr. Mohammed Tahir Monguno has today flagged off the distributions of foodstuffs where 4,704 constituents benefited. 
Beneficiaries were selected from the ten local government areas of northern Borno State, where each of the beneficiaries received 25kg bag of Rice, 25kg bag of Sugar and a cartoon of spaghetti/macaroni. 
The benefactor, Sen. Monguno was ably represented by the APC Deputy state party chairman, Alhaji Kalla Maina Monguno.

GOV ZULUM FOOD PALLIATIVES REACHED MASHAMARI COMMUNITY, JERE L G A


-As Vice Chairman of the Palliative Distribution Committee Saina Buba Led Team Membaers to a successful Distribution 
Today Saturday 9th March 2024 the residents of Mashamari Word of Jere local government received their share of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum's food Palliative initiative.

It can be recalled last week the Governor launched the food palliative initiative at Sports Center Maiduguri where he announced that one hundred thousand households would benefit from the distribution in MMC and Jere.

To ensure judicious distribution the Vice Chairman of the Committee Comrade Saina Buba led a powerful delegation that saw the successful distribution

INTERNATIONAL WHEELCHAIR DAY PLWDS CALLS FOR THE DOMESTICATION OF DISABILITY WELFARE BILL


The Borno State Chapter of the National Association of Physically Challenged Persons Joined their counterparts nationwide to commemorate International Wheelchair Day 2024 with a call to the Borno state government to domesticate the law that grants their well-being.
In his address at the event, the Bornos state Chairman Mohammed Abubakar Said the United Nations set aside 1st March of every year as International Wheelchair Day to promote a more positive perception of wheelchair users and address barriers encountered in their daily lives.

Earlier in her keynote address Hajiya Adama Balla trustee of the Association highlighted the importance of the wheelchair to them saying it gives them easy access to services such as classrooms for learning and Hospitals for Medical Services hence its absence makes life difficult for any physically challenged person.

She advocated for Government and non-governmental Organizations, the Private Sector, and individuals to donate Wheelchairs to their Members to allow them access to services easily. While donating Hajiya Adama calls for a consultation so that the right wheelchair is donated.

The Secretary-General of the organization Mohammed Aji on behalf of their members thanked Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for supporting them while appealing to him to assent to the disability welfare bill that provides for their well-being as citizens.

60 YOUTHS GRADUATE FROM MAINSTREAM ACADEMY AS LINEMEN COURTESY OF NEDC

To eradicate youth unemployment and address the increasing shortage of staff at Yola Distribution Company that hinders the availability of power supply in the North East subregion the North East  Development Commission Signed a Memorandum of understanding with Mainstream Energy Solution Ltd the owners of Yola Distribution Company on training and employment of 60 youths within the subregion.

All things being equal the youths 10 from each state 50 male and 10 female have undergone 3 months of training at the Mainstream Academy as linemen. Today at an event organised by NEDC the youths formally graduated and were issued certificates and appointment letters as linemen at YEDC.

In their separate testimonies, the graduates thanked their sponsor NEDC, and Mainstreaming Energy Solution for giving them the best they could during their stay in the academy. On the appointment issued to them, they pledged to be committed and to be good ambassadors of the commission and the academy.

 Meanwhile, in his address, the Chief Executive Officer of the North East Commission Alhaji Goni Alkali said on assuming office first challenge the board encountered during their visit to stakeholders was Youth unemployment. That makes the board to concentrate more on it. He thanked Mainstream Energy Solution for the partnership he also pledged tokens to the youths to start well in their new place of work.
